Mother Jones at the Izzy Awards on 4/17

Tune in to WRFI at 7:30pm on Wednesday, 4/17, for a special live broadcast of the 2013 Izzy Awards from Ithaca College’s Park Center for Independent Media.  This year’s winner is nonprofit news organization Mother Jones.  Mother Jones Washington bureau chief David Corn, publisher Steve Katz, and environmental reporter Kate Sheppard (IC Park School of Communications alumna) will speak.  This is a unique event bringing journalists of national prominence to our community.  Our programming will resume around 9:30pm.

    Also, our own Ian Schachner will be interviewing the award winners before the ceremony on Wednesday. The interview will be broadcast on Mission:Radio at 4.p.m.
