Ithaca New Music Collective features local composers

Charles Dunaway spoke to Emily DiAngelo, co-founder of the Ithaca New Music Collective.  The group is made up of local musicians and they present programs of music created by local composers – students and faculty at the two music schools in town.  They perform in unorthodox venues like the Bar Argos, where people can enjoy the music in a relaxed atmosphere.

The opening and closing music is from 3 Miniatures for Trombone and Loop Pedal by New Music Collective member Josh Oxford.  Also heard is the beginning of Fade for Oboe and Tape by Charles Peck.
