In light of Trump’s election last night, there is a need for people of goodwill to confront Trumpism–the current variety of white supremacy and racism in the U.S. We must recognize and respond to the grave threat–to people of color, immigrants, Muslims, queer people, and just about every marginalized group–posed by Trump and his violent brand of racism, fundamentalism, and ultra-nationalism. Join us this evening for a rally against hate, war, and bigotry. Our gathering is not about assigning blame. Rather, we seek a pathway to democratic change. Electoral politics cannot save us. Only a mass movement can defeat the hatred embedded within American history and culture.
