Code Blue and the Impact on Homelessness in Ithaca
In New York State, Code Blue is in effect anytime the temperature reaches 32 degrees or lower. December 1st through April 15th is considered a mandatory Code Blue period. However, with the mandatory code blue period now ending, homeless individuals must now find other arrangements. St. John's Community Services Program Supervisor, Chris Teitelbaum discusses what homelessness looks like after Code Blue and the draw backs to the state mandate.
