Coronavirus Update, June 29, 2021
Cornell University is planning a full reopening in the fall.
Nearly all classes will be in-person with seating that will not require social distancing.
Students planning to take fall classes in person have been informed that they must provide Cornell with proof of full vaccination by August 16. The University currently only recognizes vaccines approved by the FDA, the WHO, and the European Medicines Agency.
The Cornell Daily Sun reports that, as of Monday, over 17,000 students and 10,000 faculty and staff at Cornell have been vaccinated.
Tompkins County reports zero new COVID cases and a total of 6 active cases. There is one person hospitalized for the novel coronavirus.
Schuyler county reports two new COVID cases and a total of 3 active cases.
