The Friends of Stewart Park Celebrate The Park’s Centennial Bash

The Friends of Stewart Park gathered on Sunday, July 11 to celebrate the park's centennial with cupcakes and music. The Centennial Birthday Bash took place one week after the initial planned date, due to trees in the park being heavily damaged in severe thunderstorms. Rick Manning, the Executive Director of the Friends of Stewart Park, talks about how his organization was able to proceed with birthday plans after the City of Ithaca and community volunteers came together to clean up damaged trees and limbs.
