Homicide in Ithaca, Police Investigating

ITHACA, NY -- The Ithaca Police Department are reporting a homicide in Ithaca.

According to the IPD, a man died of gunshot wounds on the 200 Block of Taughannock Belvedere at around 12:45am on Tuesday. The man’s identity is not being released. 

This is perhaps the most public, gruesome, and most upsetting instance of a recent violence to touch the City.

Police say they are investigating the death, and are asking the public to avoid the area if possible.
