State Grants Bring in $100,000 for Local Arts Organizations

TOMPKINS COUNTY, NY — The arts in Tompkins County have received $100,000 in State grants to date.
The money is for putting on a show and revitalizing live performances in New York state. It's coming from $105 Million dollar fund, “Restart NY: Rapid Live Performance Grants,” which only about $30 million of has been distributed so far. The grants are between ten and five thousand dollars and are being distributed through the New York State Council on the Arts.
Local awardees include the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, the Kitchen Theater, Opera Ithaca, the Cherry Arts, NYSEMA, and the Center for the Arts at Ithaca.
