The Community Health Services Immunizations Clinic returns to Ithaca on July 8th. The program provides all immunizations recommended by the CDC for uninsured and underinsured adults and children. The clinic will be open on Fridays, and an appointment is required. To schedule an appointment, call 607-274-6604. Cornell outdoor summer concerts are returning after two years. The free shows will be on the Cornell Arts Quad on July 1st, 8th, and 15th at 7:00 pm. Artists include Maddy Walsh, Jorge T. Cuevas and Caribe Jazz Allstars, and the NEO Project. For more information, visit news.cornell.edu.

According to NBC, a New York State Trooper near Binghamton crawled 15 feet to rescue a senior golden retriever from a pipe. Lilah, the retriever, has been missing since last Friday. Lilah’s owner, Rudy Fuehrer, found Lilah on Sunday and tried to get her out, but she couldn’t be enticed with peanut butter or treats. Eventually, Fuehrer called 911, and State Trooper Jimmy Rasaphone was able to rescue the dog.

The traditional Fourth of July fireworks show is returning to Watkins Glen. Last year the show was canceled due to COVID-19. The show starts at 9:45 on July 4 on Seneca lake. According to WENY News, the best viewing spots include Clute park and other locations at the southern tip of the Lake. The Inn at Taughannock Falls will also have a firework display on July 3rd at 9:00. Parking is available at the Taughannock Falls State Park.
