Total revenue to the program has increased by only 3% while the cost of replacing a square of sidewalk has increased 24%. The City is considering a plan that would increase the fee paid by most owners of one- or two-family dwellings from $70 to $80 per year and increase fees for other types of properties as well. The Engineering Division is hosting a public meeting to discuss the proposed changes and its 2023 work plan Tuesday, August 23 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Tompkins County Public Library’s Borg Warner Room.
