- Ithaca Police Expand Search For Missing Man -
Ithaca Police expanded their search for a missing man to include part of Newfield on Friday. Police say Thomas Rath went missing on May 19 under suspicious circumstances. Rath was first reported missing from the encampment known as “The Jungle” along Ithaca’s inlet. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 145 lbs. He has several tattoos. One is a black and pink heart on his neck. Police would like anyone with information about Rath to contact them.
- Air Quality Warning In Effect For Today -
An air quality advisory is in effect for today. The alert affects most of the state including the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier. Children, the elderly, or people with heart or breathing problems may be especially affected. The state DEC says exposure may cause shortness of breath, sneezing, runny nose, coughing, or eye irritation. You can find information about how to reduce your exposure here.
- Public Presentation Scheduled About Renovation Plans of Old School In Cortland -
Cortland residents can hear about a renovation proposal for the former Parker School this week. The Cortland Voice reports the Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Service or INHS, will present its ideas on Thursday, 6 PM at the school.
