- Police question “person-of-interest” about Cornell threats -

Governor Kathy Hochul announced that New York State police are questioning a person of interest in connecting with the violent and antisemitic online threats made against Cornell University. The threats were made in a forum on the website Greekrant over the weekend. Hochul posted the statement Tuesday afternoon on X (formerly known as Twitter). Cornell spokesperson Joel Malina confirmed the governor’s statement to WRFI and said the university will update the public when they get more information.

- Ithaca Police Chief finalists to meet residents in forum -

Ithaca residents will get to meet and question the two finalists for police chief at a community event this week. They are the former police chief of Larchmont, NY, John Poleway, and City of Schenectady Police Lieutenant Thomas Kelly. The meet and greet will be on Thursday, at 6 p.m. at the Greater Ithaca Activity Center, GIAC.
