WINO, Watkins Glen is Off the Air

We're sorry to announce to our Watkins Glen listeners that we have gone off the air on 91.9FM as of Friday, November 10. This change will not affect our signals at 88.1FM in Ithaca, or 89.7FM across the Southern Finger Lakes. Nor will it affect our webstream heard here at WRFI.ORG. In fact many Watkins listeners may be able to pick up the station at 89.7FM.

After enjoying many years of a supportive relationship with the landlord in Watkins Glen, he sold the property to someone with whom we could not come to terms.

We are looking for a new site for our Watkins transmitter. If you or someone you know owns property that might be suitable for our facility please get it touch! We're looking predominately along Route 414 close to Burdett and at other similar locations on high ground close to the ridge overlooking Seneca lake. 

We deeply value our listeners and will do everything we can to return to the airwaves in the Watkins area. In the meantime, please stay in touch!
